HAVELSAN, one of the leading technology companies in the Turkish defense industry, is expanding its international presence. The company signed an important agreement with the Chilean Navy on March 27, 2025. Under the agreement, the ADVENT Combat Management System, known for its advanced command and control capabilities, will be procured for the modernization of two frigates in the Chilean Navy inventory.
The project is planned to be completed within four years. During this time, the ADVENT Combat Management System will be fully integrated into both frigates and will be able to work seamlessly with the existing systems and weapons on board.
With this project, Chile has become the 9th country to integrate the ADVENT Combat Management System into its naval platforms. ADVENT, which was put into use for the first time on the Turkish Navy’s TCG KINALIADA corvette, is also attracting increasing international attention as it continues its journey in global waters. So what is ADVENT?
ADVENT is actually an advanced battle management system. It stands out among integrated battle management systems designed to meet modern naval warfare requirements. Built on a network-centric operation concept and a robust mission architecture, ADVENT provides seamless coordination between naval platforms.
The system covers all operational processes including threat assessment, decision support, target acquisition, weapon and sensor control, and provides commanders with enhanced situational awareness and operational effectiveness. With its user-friendly interfaces, high integration capacity and indigenous software infrastructure, it provides high-level performance in terms of security, agility and mission capability.
In addition, ADVENT, which was developed in close cooperation with the Turkish Naval Forces Command, has a special place not only due to its export success, but also because it is the first combat management system designed specifically for the Turkish Navy.
