Oppo, putting in an intensive effort to expand its product range, has accelerated its work in the entry-level segment. In this context, the Chinese manufacturer has introduced the Oppo A38 model, which is affordable and comes with technical features that won’t disappoint users. So, what does this smartphone offer? The Oppo A38 will feature a 6.56-inch HD+ resolution IPS LCD panel. Additionally, the display offers a 90 Hz refresh rate and 720 nits of brightness. Furthermore, the iconic waterdrop notch, a staple in the entry-level segment, is present on this phone as well.
The smartphone uses the MediaTek Helio G85 processor. This chipset, with a 12 nm architecture, houses 2x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A75 cores and 6x 1.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A55 cores, along with the Mali-G52 MC2 graphics unit.
The phone comes with 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 64 GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. Additionally, storage can be expanded via a microSD card. Out of the box, it runs on Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1.
On the front, there’s a 5-megapixel selfie camera, while the rear features a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel auxiliary (portrait) sensor. Finally, it is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
The Oppo A38 model is available with a 4 GB + 64 GB option. The smartphone’s price tag has not been officially disclosed yet, but according to sources close to the company, it is expected to be priced at approximately $160.
