Samsung Exynos 1480 specifications
Exynos 1480, which goes through Samsung Foundry’s 4LPP+ (4 nm) fabrication process, consists of 8 cores in total. These are 4 ARM Cortex-A78 (performance) cores at 2.75 GHz and 4 ARM Cortex-A55 (efficiency) cores at 2 GHz.
The graphics unit is AMD RDNA-based Xclipse 530. According to the information shared by the brand, the processor is 22 percent more energy efficient than the Exynos 1380 and the GPU performance is 53 percent higher. On the artificial intelligence side, it is said to offer four times higher performance. Thus, the processor can bring the artificial intelligence features offered with the Galaxy S24 series to the phones it powers.
On the display side, the new processor supports FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. On the other hand, it is compatible with LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage, and supports a single camera up to 200 Megapixels or dual cameras of 32 Megapixels + 32 Megapixels. The camera can record 60 FPS video at 4K.
The Samsung Exynos 1480 processor, which also includes gaming features such as Variable Ratio Shading (VRS) and Super Resolution, offers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB Type-C connectivity support.
