AirCar, an Istanbul-based developer of electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft (eVTOL), announced that it has fully filled its 2027 production quota for its two-seat LSA flying car model in just one week. This achievement has made AirCar the fastest-selling personal flying car manufacturer in the world.
A Record from Turkey: 100+ Orders in One Week
AirCar launched a pre-order campaign on October 1, 2025, without any advertising or sponsorship, and through a simple social media announcement, received a total of 100 orders in just one week, from 75 individual and 25 corporate customers. Orders came from countries as diverse as Turkey, the US, Germany, Qatar, and Ireland. Priced at $99,000 each, the AirCar LSA is considered a significant milestone in the global concept of personal flight.

This result isn’t just a commercial success; it’s proof that people are ready for personal flight technologies. In the first phase, we demonstrated our technology with piloted flights, then validated demand with pre-sales. Now, we’re moving into the third and most crucial phase: the initial production phase. This step means taking AirCar’s successes to the next level. With the transition to mass production, we aim to reach users worldwide with the AirCar LSA model and expand the reach of personal flight. In short, a revolution in the skies is beginning. – Eray Altunbozar, AirCar Founder and CEO
After fully filling its 2027 production quota, AirCar has begun accepting pre-orders for delivery in 2028. The company’s vision is to make personal eVTOLs an accessible part of aviation. Having already successfully completed manned flight tests, AirCar aims to shape the future of urban air transportation with its quiet and environmentally friendly technologies.
The AirCar LSA certification process is part of the FAA MOSAIC; It falls under the “Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification” program initiated by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This regulation expands the scope of the Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) category, allowing for the inclusion of more advanced electric and vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) vehicles. AirCar has also initiated negotiations with the General Directorate of Civil Aviation to facilitate this process.
AirCar plans to launch its single-seat ultralight eVTOL model soon, with a more affordable price of $49,900. This model is expected to be available and delivered by 2026.
