Samsung has recently promised 6-7 years of update support for its newer smartphones, but unfortunately, older models are excluded from this. Recently, we saw that support for models like the Galaxy A02s, A12, and W21 5G has ended. So, which models are still receiving updates?
Samsung models receiving updates
Samsung made a significant improvement to its update policy when it introduced the Galaxy S24 series in January 2024. According to the new policy, these models will receive Android, One UI, and security updates for seven years. This includes the recently announced Galaxy S25 series, which is expected to receive updates until the Android 22 version, expected in 2031. During this period, regular security updates and One UI patches will be provided.
