Announcing its sales figures all over the world today, BMW documented that 2024 has been a good year for it for now. BMW, which came to the top with the highest figure in premium vehicle sales, left its rivals Mercedes and Audi behind.

As we enter July, many brands are sharing their sales figures for the first half of the year. There was a general decline in the brands we have conveyed to you so far. On the BMW side, this is not the case at all. BMW, which reached the top by selling a total of 1 million 96 thousand 486 vehicles in the first half of this year, is at the top among premium cars. In addition, there is a 2.2 percent increase in sales of BMW models compared to the same period of the previous year.

Brands that have experienced serious declines, especially in electric vehicles, seem to be a little behind compared to BMW. Because there is a 22.2 percent increase in the sales figures of BMW’s BEV models compared to last year. This year, the company sold 107 thousand 933 BEVs in the first quarter and almost doubled this figure to 190 thousand 622 in the second half.

In addition, 66 thousand 638 BMW motorcycles were sold in the first quarter of this year, while 113 thousand 72 motorcycles were sold in the second quarter of the year. These figures are 2.6 percent more than last year.

When we look at it on a regional basis, the highest sales in the last quarter of 2024 are seen in the Asian region. The company sold more than 249 thousand vehicles in the specified region, 232 thousand in Europe and 188 thousand in China. When we look at the first half of the year completely, Asia ranks first with 493 thousand sales, Europe ranks second with 460 thousand sales, and China ranks third with 375 thousand sales.
