Amazon recently decided to remove a feature that had been gaining attention. The “Inspire” service, which brought a social media-style shopping experience, was closely followed by users. Why did the company make this decision, and what did they say about it? Here are the details…
Amazon Ends TikTok-like Inspire Feature
Amazon has stopped offering its Inspire feature on its mobile app. Introduced in 2022, Inspire provided users with a TikTok-style feed showing products across various categories, from home décor to skincare.

Users had the ability to purchase products directly from this feed. Amazon launched this feature inspired by TikTok’s successful shopping features in China, hoping to capture the interest of users with this social-media shopping format.
However, in a company statement, Amazon explained that it regularly evaluates the features it offers and makes adjustments based on user demand. After this review, it was decided that Inspire would no longer be continued.
Amazon spokesperson Maxine Tagay stated, “We regularly evaluate various features to better understand what’s most important to our customers. As part of this process, Inspire is no longer being offered.”
When Amazon introduced Inspire, platforms like TikTok and YouTube were also starting to integrate shopping features. However, it seems this move did not have the expected impact and did not make shopping more efficient.
