AMD Ryzen 7 8700F and Ryzen 5 8400F are officially coming!
Standing out more between the two models, the Ryzen 7 8700F will feature 8 cores and 16 threads based on the beloved Zen 4 core architecture. However, it includes slightly slower boost and base clock speeds compared to the Ryzen 7 8700G, with a boost speed of 5.05 GHz and a base clock speed of 4.1 GHz. Additionally, the processor will have a 16MB L3 cache.
On the other hand, the Ryzen 5 8400F will also come with 6 cores and 12 threads based on the Zen 4 architecture. The processor will have a base clock speed of 3.2GHz and a boost speed of 4.75GHz. The cache level for this processor is also announced as 16MB L3.
It’s worth noting that both processors are designed with a 65W TDP. Comparing the results, we can say that there’s a very close performance between the two processors. The difference between them is noticeable mainly in tests that require more threads. However, there has been no official announcement regarding the prices of these processors yet.
