At the Gamescom event, statements that make players curious continue to come. Finally, AMD unveiled the mid-range Radeon RX 7000 series. The models, called AMD RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT, will compete with Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti and 4070.
Nvidia RTX 4060 Ti / 4070 vs AMD RX 7700 XT / 7800 XT
Let’s start with the RX 7800 XT model. According to AMD, it features a 60-processor RDNA 3 Navi 32 chip and 16GB of GDDR6 memory with 624GB/s bandwidth. This model is positioned against the RTX 4070 12GB, but at a significantly lower price point.
The RX 7700 XT comes with 54 processing units and 12GB of memory supporting 432GB/s bandwidth. According to AMD, the RTX 4060 Ti will compete with 8GB and 16GB variants. However, it is positioned cheaper in terms of price.
AMD shared tests from The Last of Us Part I and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor tests. Both graphics cards were able to achieve a stable 60FPS at 1440p resolution. In addition, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 can be played with 100FPS at 1440p resolution.

The most striking points of the graphics cards are their price tags. The RX 7700 XT model with 12GB memory starts at $450. This means that it will be $50 cheaper than the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB, which sells for $500.
The RX 7800 XT 16GB also has a price tag of $500. So it will be $100 more affordable than the RTX 4070 12GB model, which sells for $600.
