The countdown has begun for Xiaomi’s upcoming Redmi K70 series, which is set to be released in the coming months. According to a recent report, the K70 series, expected to include three models: K70, K70 Pro, and K70e, will lack an important feature.
There will be no wireless charging feature in the Redmi K70 series
Digital Chat Station, known for leaking information in the industry, claimed that the upcoming Redmi K70 series will not have wireless charging capability. It’s worth noting that the current K60 Pro offers 30W wireless charging support, while the standard model does not have this feature.
If the leaker’s report is accurate, none of the phones in the series will have this feature, contrary to expectations. Additionally, the Redmi K70 Pro model appeared in the Geekbench database last month, achieving a single-core score of 1,882 and a multi-core score of 4,536 in benchmark tests.
Prototypes of the standard and Pro models of the series were recently revealed. According to this information, the devices will have slim bezels and support a 2K screen resolution. Furthermore, the Pro model will feature a 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 3.2x optical zoom. Lastly, it is expected that the smartphones will come with Android 14-based MIUI 14 out of the box and later receive MIUI 15 updates. The exact release date for the models has not been announced yet.
