ZTE’s sub-brand Nubia seems to be preparing to add artificial intelligence to its smartphones. Making statements on China’s social media platform Weibo, the company announced that it will introduce new products focused on artificial intelligence on April 9.

In the encrypted message, Nubia said the launch would mark the beginning of a “new era”. While details about the new devices were not disclosed, it was stated that it would not be related to existing models. Nubia said it will introduce a new device that uses artificial intelligence.
The timing of the announcement is also quite remarkable. ZTE recently discussed artificial intelligence capabilities at an event. He said the company is working on a unified platform powered by the Nebula operating system.
Researchers speculate that Nubia may introduce multiple AI-based smartphones with its launch on April 9. The brand is also rumored to offer AI solutions in imaging, performance and security.
Nubia last drew attention at MWC 2024. It launched the cheapest foldable phone with the $599 Nubia Flip 5G. The model featured a 1.43-inch cover screen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a 6.9-inch main screen with a resolution of 1188 X 2190 pixels.
On the camera side, the main camera with a resolution of 50 Megapixels is accompanied by a depth camera with a resolution of 2 Megapixels. On the inside, there is a front camera with a resolution of 16 Megapixels. It is also possible to use the rear camera of the folding phone for the front camera thanks to the small screen on the front.
