The Aoostar EG01 has officially stepped out of China and onto the global market. With a built-in mini-PC mount and OCuLink connectivity, this eGPU solution isn’t just trying to keep up; it’s trying to leap ahead.
Aoostar EG01 brings fresh competition to the eGPU market

eGPUs are making noise again. Just last week, Minisforum teased its DEG2, and now Aoostar is rolling out the EG01 to a wider audience. Initially launched in China, the device will hit global pre-orders on November 2. The pitch? Simplicity, compatibility, and a built-in mount that takes the guesswork out of setup.
EG01 adds more than just another bracket
While the EG01 looks a bit like the Minisforum DEG1, the extra mounting arm for mini-PCs changes the game slightly. It bolts into place with three screws underneath, giving it a semi-permanent setup, not a slide-and-go gimmick. The included bracket makes it easier to stack and stabilize a compact PC directly on the unit.
What’s inside the box?
Aoostar didn’t stop with the frame. Inside the package:
- OCuLink port for direct GPU access
- Support for ATX and SFX power supplies
- A 6-pin DC power connector
- An 8-pin CPU cable for bench-style rigs
- Detachable mini-PC mounting bracket
Together, these touches push it beyond just being a GPU holder.
Global pricing for Aoostar EG01 confirmed
Chinese buyers are getting the EG01 for CNY 474, roughly $67. Meanwhile, the rest of the world will pay $109 when global sales open. That puts it above the DEG1’s current Amazon price but below many larger eGPU docks that skip features like OCuLink or integrated power cabling.
EG01 goes live on November 2 mark the clock
Pre-orders kick off November 2 at 12:00 UTC. Aoostar’s aiming for clean installs and more compact setups, but the price tag and feature set will decide if it holds ground beyond launch week.
The EG01 doesn’t try to reinvent the eGPU, but it does make it easier to live with.
