Apple has finalized a deal with OpenAI to add ChatGPT’s features to iOS 18 as it continues to negotiate with Google. According to the report, although both companies have agreed, there is no official announcement yet. When an official announcement will be made remains a mystery.
The report says the OpenAI deal will allow Apple to offer a popular chatbot as part of the new AI features it plans to announce next month. So Apple could add a new text-based AI based on ChatGPT to iOS 18.

Apple has also been in talks with Alphabet Inc.’s Google about licensing that company’s Gemini chatbot. These discussions have not led to an agreement, but are ongoing.
