Apple is preparing to announce the long-awaited iPhone SE 4 earlier than expected. According to well-known industry analyst Mark Gurman, Apple is expected to introduce the new affordable iPhone model next week. Previous rumors suggested that the SE 4 would be released later in the year, but recent information shows that the device will be unveiled soon.
The wait for the new iPhone SE is coming to an end
The iPhone SE series has drawn attention with its powerful hardware and relatively affordable price. This new model is expected to take design cues from the iPhone 14, abandoning the thick bezels seen in previous models in favor of a notch design and switching to Face ID. This means that the physical Touch ID will be removed from the iPhone SE series.
The SE 4 will likely receive a significant internal upgrade, possibly featuring the Apple A18 chip and being the most affordable model with Apple Intelligence support. Additionally, it’s expected that Apple will reduce its reliance on Qualcomm by using its own newly developed modem.

There will also be a significant change in the display. While the current iPhone SE 3 uses a 4.7-inch LCD screen, the SE 4 is expected to feature a 6.1-inch OLED screen. The device is rumored to come with a USB-C port and a camera upgrade, including a 48 MP main camera and a 12 MP selfie camera, offering a more competitive photography experience compared to previous models.
In terms of pricing, it seems likely that Apple will continue to keep the SE series under $500. The current iPhone SE 3 was launched with a $429 price tag. While the new model is expected to be slightly more expensive, it is still expected to remain competitive in the mid-range market.
Apple is also known to be unveiling its Beats PowerBeats Pro 2 headphones on February 11th. Experts expect Apple to introduce the iPhone SE 4 around the same time. However, rather than a big launch event, it’s highly likely that Apple will make the announcement with a press release and a short promotional video.
