Qualcomm, one of the successful names in the mobile processor market, has officially begun the countdown for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The chipset is expected to be released this month, and smartphones using its hardware are quickly emerging. So, which flagship phones will currently be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor?
Smartphones that will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will be Qualcomm‘s latest flagship processor. In this regard, manufacturers are lining up to introduce models powered by this new chip to users. Among the most prominent devices in this context are the Xiaomi 14 series and the iQOO 12 series.
Here are the flagship phones that will be powered by the upcoming processor:
- Xiaomi 14 series (Launch expected this month)
- iQOO 12 series
- Vivo X100 Pro+ series
- OnePlus 12 series
- Realme GT 5 Pro series
- Oppo Find X7 Pro series
- Honor Magic 6 series
- Red Magic 9 series
- Meizu 21 series
- Samsung Galaxy S24 series
- Redmi K70 Pro+ series
Performance test results for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 have been revealed. The Red Magic 9, which will be powered by the new processor, recently appeared on Geekbench with the model number NX769J. The smartphone achieved scores of 1,596 in single-core tests and 5,977 in multi-core tests. The processor, with a cluster of 1+5+2 cores, will host cores at 2 x 2.27, 5 x 2.96, and 1 x 3.19 GHz, in addition to the Adreno 750 graphics unit.
In addition to all this, thanks to Qualcomm’s agreement with Samsung, last year we saw a more powerful version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor used in the Galaxy S23 as “for Galaxy.” This will also be applicable to the Galaxy S24 family. The 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy, which will be present in the flagship models, scored 1,700 in single-core and 6,600 in multi-core tests. As seen, there is a significant performance difference between the standard and special versions, at least on paper.
