Apple may make some important changes in the next-generation MacBook Air refresh. Information about the M4 MacBook Air leaked in the latest macOS update shared by the company. Accordingly, the macOS Sequoia 15.2 update includes references to two new MacBook Air models with M4 chips.
Two new MacBook Airs with M4 chip on the way
Emerging reports point to a 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air, both equipped with the M4 processor. Accordingly, the next generation models are expected to be released in 2025. These devices, identified as “Mac16.12” and “Mac16.13”, are not included in Apple’s product list.
Previously, Mark Gurman listed the models waiting in line for the M4 processor update in internal leaks. Accordingly, Mac Pro, Mac Studio and MacBook Air models will also appear with the M4 processor. So if the claim is true, all Mac models will receive the M4 processor update.
Accordingly, the MacBook Air model with M4 processor will appear in the spring of 2025 with its new version with M4 processor. Mac Pro and Mac Studio models seem to receive this update in the middle of 2025, around June, July.
