The US government, with the involvement of Apple, is introducing new AI security rules. Alongside giants like OpenAI, Amazon, Google, Meta, and Microsoft, Apple has also announced that it will voluntarily comply with these rules. Additionally, Apple Intelligence will be officially launched this fall.
Apple Announces Compliance with US AI Security Rules
The US government’s goal is to oversee the development of AI technology through AI security rules to both protect consumers and ensure the technology progresses safely and ethically. Since an official AI regulation law has not yet been passed, these rules are entirely voluntary. Therefore, these tech giants will adhere to the government’s guidance principles without any legal obligation.
In addition to these developments, Apple has announced another major news: Apple Intelligence. Apple announced that it will officially launch its new AI service, Apple Intelligence, this fall. Users of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, or macOS Sequoia will be able to benefit from this innovation. However, there is no beta version of this anticipated service yet.
Provided they comply with security rules, Apple Intelligence will support all models of the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the iPhone 16 series. Additionally, full support will be provided on Mac and iPad platforms equipped with Apple Silicon chips. This means that this innovative AI technology can be experienced on all next-generation Apple devices.
Apple’s surprises don’t end there. Apple also plans to integrate third-party AI services into its operating system. From this fall, you will be able to see ChatGPT on your Apple devices. This means you can chat with ChatGPT as an alternative to Siri.
