We all know Apple for its technological products. An ecosystem consisting of the iPhone, MacBook, Apple Watch, and AirPods is everyone’s dream. But have you heard about a pair of shoes within the Apple ecosystem? A specially made pair of shoes signed by Apple is currently for sale at an auction.
Apple-signed shoes are up for auction
The auction house Sotheby’s recently listed a pair of shoes signed by Apple for a starting bid of $50,000. It is said that these shoes, specially produced by Omega Sports, were presented to Apple employees at the National Sales Conference in the mid-1990s.
These shoes, which have never been made available for general sale and were only offered to Apple’s employees, are quite rare. The primarily white shoes sport the rainbow-colored logo that Apple began using in the late ’90s. The same logo can also be seen on the tongue of the shoe.
According to notes in the auction, the shoes, which will be delivered to the buyer in their original box, will also come with alternative red laces. Also, it’s worth mentioning that the shoes are size 44.
In 2020, another pair of these shoes was auctioned and sold for $9,687. The size 42.5 shoe fetched a high price, leading to curiosity about how much the new pair in the auction will sell for.
Old products signed by Apple are very popular these days. Just a few days ago, an unopened first iPhone model was sold for over $190,000. Also, at an auction held in 2022, $905,000 was paid for a working Apple-1 computer made in the 1970s.
