Apple Vision Pro is being updated for glasses wearers!

With VisionOS 26, Apple will make it easier for glasses wearers to use Apple Vision Pro. Here are the details.

Since the launch of Apple’s spatial computer, there has been a warning for users with eyeglass prescriptions that include prism values for ZEISS Optical Inserts. This warning stated that ZEISS optical inserts compatible with prism values were not available. This limited the Vision Pro experience, especially for users with eye alignment issues and those whose prescriptions included prism values. This issue appears to be resolved with VisionOS 26. Here are the details.

However, this is changing with VisionOS 26. This warning has now been removed, and a brand new software feature, “Digital Prism Correction,” has been added. Users in the United States and select US regions can activate this feature by going to Settings and selecting the new “Add Prism Prescription” option.

With this new feature, users can directly enter the prism values from their prescriptions into Vision Pro. However, this feature has certain limitations:

    • Digital Prism Correction supports prescriptions up to 7.75 Prism Diopters (PD) in the horizontal (base in/out) and/or vertical (base up/down) directions.
    • It also covers the polar equivalent range (0-359°).

These prism values are linked to your optical attachments, allowing you to continue using multiple sets of optical attachments on a single device. You can also save these settings to a guest profile so that others using your Vision Pro can also benefit from this correction.
