Apple has finally released one of the most expected devices, the Apple Watch Ultra. The smartwatch has great features like Crash Detection, a new sensor, and more. However, some features will not arrive later this year, including the race route and low-power mode. Here are the details about the Apple Watch Ultra missing features.
Significant functions are missing on Apple Watch Ultra
Apple has promised some functions that make users’ life better and easier. However, the company didn’t launch the device with these features, and it seems they won’t be available later this year. Race Route, Oceanic+ app, new low-power setting, and international roaming are the missing features announced at the launch event.
The new Apple Watch Ultra is a perfect gadget, like its processors for extreme sports users. However, the company didn’t release all the extreme and some other functions with the launch of the Watch Ultra. For example, the Race Route feature is not available for now. You can race against yourself while on an Outdoor Run workout. The feature will be available for Apple Watch Series 4 users and later.
In addition, the Oceanic+ app is another function that is not available for now. To take scuba diving to 40 meters, you must wait for Outdoors to make its latest diver. This app is to be out when you want to take scuba diving to 40 meters computer. This feature runs the Bühlmann decompression algorithm and comes with dive planning, easy-to-read dive metrics, visual and haptic alerts, no-decompression limit, ascent rate, and safety stop guidance.
Apple also didn’t release the Watch Ultra with two more features. The first one is one of the most popular features, Low-Power Mode. The new feature will allow users to use their Ultra Watch for up to 60 hours during normal usage while the watch already reaches 36 hours. The second feature is International Roaming. This function is expected to be available with the watchOS 9. Users can use their Ultra Watch in any country thanks to this feature.
