Apple’s New Head of Hardware Has Been Revealed

Following Tim Cook’s announcement that he will step down from his role as Apple CEO, another important role change took place in the company’s top management. Apple expanded Johny Srouji’s authorities and appointed him to the position of Head of Hardware (Chief Hardware Officer). Before this change, the hardware engineering team was headed by John Ternus, who will sit in the CEO seat as of September 1. Srouji’s comprehensive role aims to make Apple’s processor and hardware development processes more integrated. Other Changes in the Management Team

This huge wave of change at Apple is not limited only to Srouji. Tom Marieb, the current Vice President of Product Integrity, was appointed to the position of Apple’s new chief of hardware engineering.

In his new role, Marieb will report directly to John Ternus. This new structuring aims to increase operational efficiency by rearranging the hierarchy in Apple’s hardware development processes.
