The Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus just became a lot smarter. Thanks to its new 4.5.1 firmware update, the wall-mounted smart hub now integrates Apple’s Siri assistant and AirPlay support making it the most Apple-friendly release from Aqara yet.
Aqara Panel Hub S1 Plus now supports Siri voice commands

Following early reports from users in Europe, version 4.5.1 brings Siri activation to the Panel Hub S1 Plus (also sold as the MagicPad S1 Plus in some regions). You can now say “Hey Siri” directly to the panel. While voice requests are handled via a connected HomePod, which means responses might lag slightly, it’s a major step forward for Apple ecosystem integration in the Aqara lineup.
AirPlay and intercom features arrive with firmware 4.5.1
Alongside Siri, the update introduces AirPlay support. Still in beta, this feature allows users to stream audio from Apple devices to the Panel Hub, turning it into a makeshift speaker for music or podcasts. There’s also a new intercom tool, enabling two-way voice messages between the hub and other Apple devices.
Even better, the hub now functions as a doorbell chime both for Aqara’s own smart doorbells and third-party systems. This could eliminate the need for a standalone chime in some smart home setups.
Here’s what the 4.5.1 update brings:
- Siri voice assistant support (via connected HomePod)
- AirPlay streaming (beta)
- Intercom messaging with Apple devices
- Smart doorbell chime for Aqara and third-party systems
- Optional toggles for each feature in the Aqara Home app
Staggered rollout for now, wider availability TBD
The 4.5.1 firmware is currently rolling out in stages across Europe, with no confirmed timeline for global release. As usual with Aqara, rollout speed varies by region. Users with the €219.96 Panel Hub S1 Plus will want to check the Aqara Home app periodically for the update.
Whether you’re deep in Apple’s smart home ecosystem or just want more flexibility from your hub, the S1 Plus just became a much more capable control centre.
