Teclast has launched the ArtPad Air, a new Android 15 tablet that blends smooth visuals, a modern OS, and decent performance at an affordable price. Initially available in Japan, the ArtPad Air is expected to reach international markets soon.
ArtPad Air packs a bright 90 Hz display

The tablet sports an 11-inch IPS screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate, 1840 × 1280 resolution, and a 7:5 aspect ratio. At 400 nits brightness, it’s well-suited for indoor and casual outdoor use.
Its slim 7.5 mm profile and 523 g weight make it easy to handle. The layout feels more natural for reading or split-screen multitasking than a wide landscape format.
Clean Android 15 experience with solid internals
Running Android 15 out of the box, the ArtPad Air skips the typical bloatware and outdated builds found on most budget tablets.
The device uses a MediaTek Helio G100 chip, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, expandable via microSD card. This setup delivers smooth app switching and light gaming, outperforming the Helio G99 used in the earlier Pro version.
Everyday features that add real value
Teclast has added useful extras that elevate the tablet beyond its price point:
- 8,000 mAh battery
- Dual SIM and 4G LTE support
- GPS for navigation
- USB-C with OTG functionality
- Stereo speakers
These features make it viable not just for media, but also for navigation, calls, and productivity on the go.
ArtPad Air pricing and global outlook
Currently, the ArtPad Air retails for JPY 30,690, or about $209 USD. While Japan gets it first, Teclast has signaled plans for a wider global release, likely with similar pricing.
Lightweight tablet, heavyweight appeal
With its clean software, high-refresh screen, and competitive hardware, the ArtPad Air hits the essentials for a budget tablet. If international pricing holds steady, it could be a serious contender in the under-$250 category.
