Recently, ASUS grabbed attention with the ROG Phone 9 FE model, and in an unexpected move, it introduced the new flagship of the Zenfone series, which is typically announced in July. The ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra has been introduced as a new competitor in the Android market. Here are the Zenfone 12 Ultra features and details…
Zenfone 12 Ultra Powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite Processor
The Zenfone 12 Ultra, introduced as a new flagship in the Android market, is powered by Qualcomm’s latest processor, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, just like its competitors. The chipset is paired with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. With the new processor, the device offers 45% higher CPU performance, 40% faster GPU, and a 40% faster NPU performance.

Another notable aspect of the ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra model is its advancements in AI. The device features AI that can be accessed both on-device and via the cloud. The Zenfone 12 Ultra supports the Llama 3 8B model developed by Meta.
On the camera front, a new main camera greets us. Instead of the IMX890, the device uses the Sony LYTIA-700 sensor. This lens allows for more effective stabilization during shooting. According to the announcement, the stabilization is 66% improved compared to the Zenfone 11 Ultra.
The phone also includes a 32 MP telephoto camera, an ultra-wide camera, and a 32 MP selfie camera. The screen is a 6.78-inch OLED display, offering a 144Hz refresh rate. The ASUS Zenfone 12 Ultra went on sale today in Europe, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Since the Zenfone 11 Ultra didn’t make it to our country, this model is also unlikely to arrive.
