Ayaneo has officially revealed new information about the Pocket Vert, its latest vertical gaming handheld, during a 90-minute Product Sharing Session. While the release date and core hardware specs remain under wraps, the company did confirm key design and display features and showed off multiple prototypes in action.
Pocket Vert sits between premium and budget vertical handhelds

Ayaneo confirmed that the Pocket Vert will fill the gap between its own Pocket DMG and entry-level competitors like the Anbernic RG40XX V. While the RG40XX V ships with a larger 4-inch screen, the Pocket Vert aims for higher visual fidelity and a sleeker build.
The device measures 143 x 86.4 x 20.5 mm, making it noticeably shorter and thinner than the Pocket DMG, and more compact than many rivals in the vertical handheld space.
Pocket Vert display prioritizes clarity over size
Despite its smaller 3.5-inch IPS panel, the Pocket Vert packs a 1,600 x 1,440 resolution, resulting in a sharp 615 PPI. Like the Pocket Micro series, the new device continues Ayaneo’s bezel-less design trend, maximizing screen space without increasing bulk.
For now, the company is still tight-lipped about which processor powers the Pocket Vert. That leaves questions about performance unanswered especially when compared to similarly priced handhelds.
Features include large battery, speakers, and touchpad
Though specs are still incomplete, Ayaneo did confirm several hardware features:
- 6,000 mAh battery
- Bottom-firing stereo speakers
- Built-in touchpad (replacing analog sticks)
- Three color options with matching buttons
The layout and input method seem closer to the Pocket DMG than traditional gaming handhelds, suggesting the device may target emulation and lightweight indie titles rather than full AAA experiences.
No release date yet, but momentum is building
Ayaneo hasn’t provided a launch date or pricing just yet. However, the extensive Product Sharing Session suggests a formal release may not be far off. While the Pocket Vert still holds onto a few secrets like its processor or storage configuration, it’s clearly being positioned as a mid-tier vertical handheld for players who want more polish than budget models without going full flagship.
For now, Ayaneo fans will have to keep watching the company’s updates, but with the design and display now fully confirmed, the Pocket Vert already looks like a strong entry in the vertical gaming space.
