PUBG, a pioneer in the Battle Royale genre, has made a significant decision regarding the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. The developer recently announced that support for these consoles will soon end. Here are the details!
PUBG Ends Support for PS4 and Xbox One on November 13th
Krafton has confirmed that it will end support for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of PUBG: Battlegrounds on November 13th. After this date, console players will need to own a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X to continue playing.

All existing account data and in-app purchases will be carried over to the next-gen consoles if they continue playing on another platform. Refund requests will also be available, but Krafton will direct players to the PlayStation and Xbox support teams to manage this process.
As of November 13th, it will no longer be possible to download or play PUBG on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. PlayStation 5 users will need to manually re-download the game from the PlayStation Store to play, while Xbox players will automatically find the next-gen version in their libraries.
The development team explained that this decision was made “after lengthy and careful consideration, to ensure the continued growth and long-term future of PUBG Console.”
The shared message stated that this decision was made to “provide players with a more stable gaming environment on console and a smoother experience with future updates.” The statement also stated that this change will enable larger and more frequent updates to PUBG console versions in the future.
