Samsung is reportedly making significant changes to its Galaxy S26 series, which is expected to launch next year. According to recent reports, the standard and Plus models will be discontinued, making way for the new Galaxy S26 Pro and Galaxy S26 Edge.
Leaked Battery and Charging Details
The new Pro and Edge models are expected to feature larger battery capacities compared to the S25 series. The S26 Pro will reportedly come with a 4,300 mAh battery, a notable increase from the S25’s 4,000 mAh. The S26 Edge is rumored to have a 4,200 mAh battery, up from the S25 Edge’s 3,900 mAh.

Charging speeds for the Pro and Edge models have not yet been leaked. However, the top-tier Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to receive a major charging upgrade. While its battery capacity will remain at 5,000 mAh (the same as its predecessor), its fast charging support will reportedly jump from 45W to 60W.
This series will mark the end of the Galaxy S25 Plus, a model that offered Ultra-like features, including a 4,900 mAh battery and 45W fast charging, in a more compact design. The Plus model had a loyal user base, but unless there’s a last-minute change, it appears to be leaving the lineup.
