Baykar, the global leader in the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) export market, generated 90% of its total revenue from exports in 2024, achieving $1.8 billion in UAV exports.
Having started its UAV R&D process in 2003, Baykar has developed all its projects using its own resources, securing significant export success. Maintaining the same level of exports as in 2023, the company ranked among Turkey’s top 10 exporters in 2024.

In 2024, Baykar accounted for a quarter of Turkey’s defense and aviation exports, solidifying the country’s position as a global leader in UAV exports. According to a 2024 report by the U.S.-based think tank CNAS, Turkey dominates 65% of the global UAV export market. Baykar, three times larger than its closest U.S. competitor, has remained the world’s top UAV manufacturer for the past four years.
Baykar expanded its global reach by exporting UAVs to 35 countries in 2024. The Bayraktar TB2 model was added to the inventories of 34 countries, while the Bayraktar AKINCI was sold to 10 nations. Notably, 97.5% of the company’s signed agreements are export-based.
Baykar has also achieved significant success in European and NATO markets. After winning a competitive tender from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense in 2023, the company further expanded its presence in 2024 with an agreement signed with Croatia, securing Bayraktar TB2 UAVs in the inventories of six NATO and four EU member states.
The year 2024 was marked by an intense delivery schedule for Baykar. The year began with the delivery of Bayraktar AKINCI to the United Arab Emirates in January, followed by the shipment of Bayraktar TB2 to Romania in February. Subsequent deliveries were made to Albania, the Maldives, Poland, and Mali in the spring, while Kenya, Pakistan, and Morocco received shipments in the summer. In the autumn and winter months, additional deliveries were completed for Croatia, Kenya, Azerbaijan, and the UAE.
With these strategic moves, Baykar continues to strengthen its position in the global defense industry as the world’s leading UAV manufacturer.
