It seems that the long-awaited major change for Samsung users, especially those who have seen the convenience of MagSafe on the iPhone, is finally happening. Recent leaks from the industry reveal that Samsung will fully support the Qi2 wireless charging standard with the Galaxy S26 series and will establish a wide ecosystem of accessories suitable for this technology. Until now, Android users have relied on third-party cases or aftermarket rings to use magnetic holders or wallets; however, new leaks indicate that this era is over and the magnetic system will become an integral part of the phone.
The long-awaited feature is coming with the Samsung Galaxy S26: Magnetic cases and the Qi2 revolution
According to a report shared by WinFuture, a large part of Samsung’s original accessory lineup for the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra is based on magnetic features. The most notable of these accessories will be carbon fiber magnetic cases. According to leaks, these special and stylish cases will only be produced for the standard S26 and S26 Plus models. For those seeking more classic protection, magnetic silicone cases will be available in black and gray for all models. There are also transparent magnetic cases for users who don’t want to hide the phone’s color, and a durable transparent magnetic case designed for tougher conditions.

The most mysterious piece of the leaks is a new product called a “dual magnetic holder ring.” The exact meaning of the “dual” is not yet clear, but it’s speculated that it could provide a much stronger grip for car mounts or desktop stands. Accessories won’t be limited to cases. A Qi2-enabled Magnetic Wireless Powerbank and a new 25W magnetic wireless charger (EP-P2900), also mentioned in previous reports, will be important parts of the ecosystem. Leaks predict that the S26 and S26 Plus models will offer around 20W wireless charging, while the most powerful model in the series, the S26 Ultra, could reach a full 25W wireless charging speed.
There’s also good news on the screen protector side. While the S26 Ultra is already known to reduce reflection with its Gorilla Armor glass technology, Samsung is reportedly planning to sell anti-reflective screen protectors for all models. This will allow both standard and Plus model users to enjoy a much clearer screen experience in sunlight. Expected to be introduced at the beginning of 2026, this new series seems poised to make magnetic accessory use a standard in the Android world.
What are your thoughts on this? Would having a built-in magnetic system on your phone make your daily life easier?
