Biden Impersonation for Votes! Artificial Intelligence Panic at the White House

Ben Buchanan, the AI advisor to US President Joe Biden, warns of potential new challenges in the technology sector for 2024.

Since the release of the first executive order on artificial intelligence by the White House three months ago, much has changed in the world of technology. Ben Buchanan, Joe Biden’s advisor on artificial intelligence, stated that this situation poses many potential legal risks.

Buchanan emphasized that artificial intelligence technologies, especially in terms of copyright, lead to many rights violations. Additionally, he announced that they would start taking new measures from 2024 to prevent these violations.

Buchanan, who took office last year, emphasized the need for technology companies to be more transparent about their artificial intelligence activities and argued that government agencies should also take on their responsibilities.

The widespread use of technology called Deep Fake has particularly unsettled the White House. The emergence of AI-generated videos impersonating President Biden to discourage votes raised concerns at the White House.

However, while Buchanan acknowledged that the regulations they will implement may struggle to respond to new developments in these technologies, he added that especially large companies should take their own precautions against the possibility of misuse.

The intense feeding of the artificial intelligence system from online content has created significant tension in terms of copyright. Giants like Facebook and Google avoid taking any responsibility in this regard, while content creators complain about this situation.
