Apple’s supplier, Quanta Computer, is revving up for a potentially busy second quarter in 2023.
Get excited, tech enthusiasts! It’s looking like we might be seeing some fresh Apple tech coming our way soon. According to Erik Woodring, an analyst from Morgan Stanley, Apple’s supplier, Quanta Computer, is revving up for a potentially busy second quarter in 2023. They’re anticipating a solid growth in notebook assembly compared to the first quarter. What does this mean for us? New MacBooks, of course!
A new 15-inch MacBook Air
Whispers are buzzing around the tech world that we might be seeing a new 15-inch MacBook Air at Apple’s much-anticipated Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in June. Our trusty Apple supply chain analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo, is hinting that this next-generation MacBook Air might come with the M2 chip. The outer design hasn’t been leaked yet, but the sizeable screen is making us all the more eager.
Remember the buzz at last year’s WWDC? We saw the birth of the 13-inch MacBook Air, a little wonder boasting the M2 chip, a MagSafe 3 charging port, a pair of Thunderbolt 3 ports, a headphone jack, a Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, and a Force Touch trackpad. It even comes in Midnight, Starlight, Space Gray, and Silver colorways, all starting at a cool $1,199.
As for the upcoming WWDC, the rumor mill is churning! We don’t know for sure if other MacBook models will make their grand entrance. Word on the street is that the new 13-inch MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models, powered by the M3 chip, may not make their debut until later in 2023. Once they do, we can look forward to a power boost across the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini ranges.
Hang on to your hats, because there’s more! Beefier versions of the M3 chip, the M3 Pro and M3 Max, are set to pack a punch in the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. However, the rollout of these powerhouses isn’t expected until the first half of 2024.
It’s a thrilling time for all Apple devotees. Let’s keep our eyes peeled for what the tech giant has up its sleeve for us next!
