Ford and Google have agreed on an important feature related to Android Auto. This significant collaboration between the two giant companies stands out with innovations designed to make life easier, especially for electric vehicle users. These updates for Ford owners using Android Auto will be available particularly on the Mustang Mach-E and Ford F-150 Lightning models.
Google Maps gets smarter for Ford users
With this update, Google Maps now provides much more detailed information on the vehicle’s charge status during navigation. Drivers can see in advance how much battery will remain when they reach their destination. This feature, which was announced in January, has finally been made available.
Another important feature of the update is the integration of NACS charging stations into the system. With this, Tesla Supercharger stations can now be viewed on Ford’s electric vehicles via Android Auto. This feature, introduced with Android Auto version 12.9, will be available on Ford vehicles with compatible ports. The system also includes the ability to precondition the vehicle’s battery while the driver is en route to the charging station.
Experts believe this collaboration between Ford and Google will serve as an example for other electric vehicle manufacturers. As electric vehicle usage continues to grow in our country, such updates are becoming increasingly important.
