This year, 1,491 companies participated in the fair. Representatives from 103 countries attended the event, which hosted 231 official delegations. With over 120,000 visitors, IDEF 2025 became one of the largest defense fairs not only in Turkey but also in the region.
Twenty-six new defense industry products were introduced for the first time at the fair, and more than 1,100 other products were presented to the public. 270 signing ceremonies were held over the four days. The total contract value reached with these signing ceremonies reached $9 billion.
Görgün stated that 65 percent of these contracts were export-focused. This means that a significant portion of the signed agreements cover products and services destined for international markets. Görgün stated that this figure should not be viewed solely as a trade fair result, but rather as an indicator that Turkey’s commitment to domestic production in the defense industry and its strategic defense architecture are resonating globally.
IDEF 2025 attracted attention not only for its commercial agreements but also for showcasing Turkey’s advancements in defense technologies. Unmanned systems, high-precision munitions, electronic warfare solutions, and next-generation air defense systems developed by domestic companies attracted considerable attention at the fair.
The exhibits, which stood out in terms of both product diversity and technical depth, demonstrated that Turkey maintains its momentum in defense industry exports and aims to establish lasting collaborations in wider regions.
