The PS4 emulator community is one step closer to a PC version of Bloodborne. Recent progress with the ShadPS4 emulator has allowed the game’s graphics to be successfully rendered on PC. Although we’re still in the process of navigating the main menu, this is considered a major achievement compared to previous attempts.
Big step forward for Bloodborne PC version with ShadPS4 emulator
According to information shared on ResetEra, George Moralis, the developer of ShadPS4, shared a video on YouTube where he was able to go all the way to Bloodborne’s main menu on PC. As seen on Moralis’ GitHub profile, ShadPS4 is being actively worked on. Previous emulator attempts have not made much progress, especially due to sound and graphics issues.
This latest development has created a great deal of excitement in the emulator community. The progress made with ShadPS4 shows that a playable version of Bloodborne on PC is not far away. Considering how committed and hardworking the emulator community is, hopes are high that we could see a fully playable PC version of Bloodborne in the near future.
What’s Sony and FromSoftware’s stance?
All of this raises questions as to why Sony has neglected to bring Bloodborne to modern platforms.
While FromSoftware has stated that it would be happy to open Bloodborne up to a new audience, it’s up to SIE (Sony Interactive Entertainment) to make that decision. The emulator community has been working hard to fill this gap, and the success of ShadPS4 is one of the most tangible examples of this.
Many fans find it incomprehensible that Sony has consistently ignored requests to bring Bloodborne to modern platforms. FromSoftware’s silence on the issue further complicates the situation. However, thanks to the perseverance and hard work of the emulator community, great strides are being made towards bringing Bloodborne to PC.
