New details have emerged for the Formula 1 movie starring Brad Pitt. Joseph Kosinski will sit in the director’s chair of the movie, which will be prepared in cooperation with Apple and Warner Bros. Lewis Hamilton is among the producers and screenwriters of the movie.
Formula 1 movie is only in theaters on June 27, 2025
The movie, called Formula 1, will be released on the big screen on June 27, 2025. According to official statements, Warner Bros. will distribute the film starting June 25. IMAX theaters will also be part of the release.
Brad Pitt will play a retired Formula 1 driver making a comeback. The cast includes Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia and Samson Kayo.
The movie, directed by Joseph Kosinski, also features Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton is co-producing the movie and will also contribute to the script and story writing. However, it should be noted that Ehren Kruger wrote the script.
The main shooting of the movie will take place at Grand Prix races. Accordingly, it was stated that the shootings will take place in Silverstone, Hungaroring and Daytona.
The racing movie to be prepared by Apple Original Films reflects the company’s recent foray into the movie industry. Accordingly, Martin Scorsese’s Killers of the Flower Moon grossed 157 million dollars worldwide. Steven Spielberg’s Argylle earned $96.2 million.
