vivo’s new mid-range smartphone, the V50, has been spotted on numerous certification platforms in Europe and Asia. These certifications reveal the device’s design and key technical specifications for the first time.
What does vivo V50 promise?
According to the India listing, the vivo V50 will come in three different color options: white, blue and gray. The dimensions of the device will be 165 x 75 mm, but the thickness is not yet known. The device also looks like a modified version of the S20 rather than a new model. So we expect it to be thinner than the S20, which is 7.2 mm thin.
The vivo V50 will be available in two different models, one with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage and the other with 12 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The device will be powered by a 6000 mAh battery with 90 W fast charging support, lower than the 6500 mAh battery in the S20.
The camera module has an oval design with two cameras and a ring LED flash, reminiscent of the vivo S20, which is currently exclusive to the Chinese market.
The V50 will also come out of the box with Funtouch OS 15, based on the Android 15 operating system. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, NFC and GPS. Multiple certifications indicate that the V50 and Pro model (model number V2428) could be released this quarter.
