Season 4 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 launches today, May 29, bringing a host of balance adjustments, gameplay improvements, and bug fixes. Activision has detailed these changes in a comprehensive blog post, highlighting the new content and updates for players to enjoy.
New maps and modes
The launch of Season 4 introduces two new maps, Tokyo and Paris, with additional Multiplayer maps (Incline and Das Gross) set to arrive later in the season. Players can also look forward to new modes, including Demolition, Hyper Cranked, Cache, Mutation, Headshots Only, and Havoc.

Season 4 brings new weapons, including the fan-favorite Kar98k marksman rifle, available through the Season 4 battle pass. Other new weapons include the Superi 46 (Submachine Gun) and Reclaimer 18 (Shotgun), both of which are also available through the battle pass. Additionally, eight all-new Aftermarket Parts will be introduced throughout the season.

New killstreaks and perks
Season 4 introduces several new killstreaks and perks to enhance gameplay. The Loitering Munition is an eight-kill (1,000 Score) killstreak featuring an unmanned rocket-equipped drone. The I.M.S. (Intelligent Munitions System) is a seven-kill (875 Score) killstreak with smart explosives. The Missile Drone, available for 11 kills (1,375 Score), is a piloted drone firing guided missiles. The 25-kill DNA Bomb Killstreak calls in a DNA-altering bomb that eliminates the entire enemy team without ending the match.

- Loitering Munition: Unmanned rocket-equipped drone (8 kills, 1,000 Score)

- Mission Control Vest: Reduces kills required by one and score required by 125 for streaks
- Compression Plate (Gear): Immediate health regeneration after a Primary, Secondary, or Throwing Knife/Star kill; objective captures also trigger health regen
