TCL has officially launched the C1 Smart Home Cinema Projector in the UK, bringing its compact and feature-packed portable projector to British homes for £249.99. Previously released in the US, the C1 is now one of the most affordable 1080p smart projectors with Google TV available in the region.
TCL’s C1 projector brings portability and smart features together

Designed for casual streaming and compact living spaces, the TCL C1 is an LCD projector with a native 1080p resolution, while still supporting 4K input. It features a sealed optical engine and reaches up to 230 ISO lumens, which makes it best suited for use in dark rooms.
Thanks to its auto display correction system, setup is nearly effortless. The projector includes:
- Auto focus
- Keystone correction
- Obstacle avoidance
- Auto screen fit
That means fewer adjustments and more time enjoying content right out of the box.
Built-in battery and speaker make it fully portable
What sets the C1 apart from other entry-level projectors is its built-in 60 Wh battery, making it truly portable. You can use it without a wall socket for short viewing sessions on the go. It also has:
- An 8W speaker with Dolby Audio
- Integrated adjustable stand
- HDMI, USB-A, 3.5mm jack
- Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1 support
TCL C1 includes Google TV and voice control
Running Google TV, the projector offers access to major streaming platforms and services. It’s also Netflix-certified, meaning you can stream natively without jumping through workarounds. You’ll also find Google Assistant voice support and Chromecast built-in for wireless casting from Android and iOS devices.
Now available in the UK, European launch unclear
The TCL C1 projector is now available at Currys and other UK retailers for £249.99. It features a compact grey body measuring 138.4 x 145.2 x 230.7 mm and weighs just under 4 lbs (1.8 kg).
There’s no word yet on when it might launch in other European countries, but for UK buyers looking for a compact, smart, and affordable projector, the C1 just became a top-tier pick.
