Netflix made important announcements that will increase its claim in the gaming world at the Geeked Week 2024 event. The streaming giant announced that strategy game lovers’ favorite Civilization VI and fighting game classic Street Fighter IV Champion Edition will be free with Netflix Games.
Civilization VI and Street Fighter IV are now free for Netflix subscribers
Thanks to deals with Take Two Interactive and Capcom, Netflix subscribers will soon receive a Platinum Edition of Civilization VI, which will allow them to download and play the game along with all of its expansions and content. Street Fighter IV Champion Edition will also be available on iOS and Android devices with cross-play support.
No date has been given for the games yet, but the addition of these two important games to the platform is quite remarkable. This reveals Netflix’s growing power in the gaming sector. The company continues its offensive in the mobile gaming sector by adding productions such as Monument Valley, Hades and Grand Theft Auto Trilogy to Netflix Games.
Netflix has also announced a brand new mobile game set in the universe of Zack Snyder’s sci-fi epic Rebel Moon. Developed by Super Evil Megacorp, Blood Line: A Rebel Moon Game will allow players to join the rebellion with different character classes.
The company has also started developing games for Squid Game. In the game that will be added to the Netflix Games library as Squid Game: Breaking Bad, we are trying to pass the courses inspired by the series.
