XPeng is pushing boundaries again. With the new G6 and G9, the Chinese automaker is merging next-gen controller-level systems with record-setting charge times and solid battery endurance, setting new benchmarks in the EV world.

Both electric SUVs are built around an 800-volt architecture. The G6 delivers a peak of 451 kW, while the G9 tops out at 525 kW. That translates to charging from 10% to 80% in just 12 minutes, faster than any mass-production EV currently on the market.

Range is just as impressive: 535 km for the G6, 585 km for the G9, all with battery packs under 85 kWh. It’s fast, lean, and practical for daily use.

Charging that fast usually shortens battery life. XPeng’s answer? A refined thermal management system and proprietary algorithms that hit a 5C charging rate without accelerating battery aging. That’s high-power charging without the high cost to longevity.

XPeng says the LFP batteries inside the G6 and G9 last 30% longer than conventional high-performance cells.

Stacked against rivals like the Porsche Taycan or BMW iX3 xDrive 50, XPeng’s numbers hold strong. The Taycan maxes at 270 kW. BMW’s latest tops out around 400 kW. XPeng not only beats them in raw numbers it also adds more range per charge window.

These SUVs aren’t just built for speed. Inside, you’ll find massaging leather seats in the G6 and air suspension with adaptive damping in the G9. Both models feature panoramic glass roofs, and the G6 even supports towing up to 1,500 kg, a rarity in the electric SUV market.

Moreover, XPeng backs its tech with an eight-year or 160,000 km warranty on the high-voltage battery. Thanks to intelligent cooling systems and carefully tuned charge-rate regulation, the company shows clear confidence in its engineering. Altogether, it’s a strong signal of how far battery and controller synergy has evolved.

These SUVs aren’t just built for speed. Inside, you’ll find top-tier convenience and driver-friendly extras that match their cutting-edge tech. Key comfort features include:

    • Electrically adjustable leather seats with massage functions (G6)
    • Air suspension with adaptive electromagnetic dampers (G9)
    • Panoramic glass roofs on both models
    • 1,500 kg towing capacity on the G6 (optional)
