Samsung continues to expand its product lineup. The South Korean brand has been working on the Galaxy A36 5G and A56 5G for a while, and recent developments indicate that the smartphones have crossed another critical threshold ahead of their official launch.
Galaxy A36 5G and A56 5G Receive GCF Certification
The Galaxy A36 5G and A56 5G models have appeared in the GCF database. Although the listing doesn’t reveal critical technical details about the products, it does suggest that the launch is imminent.

According to previous reports, the Galaxy A56 is expected to come with the Exynos 1580 chipset. This SoC features one high-performance Cortex-A720 core running at 2.9 GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores at 2.6 GHz, and four efficiency-focused Cortex-A520 cores at 1.95 GHz.
It’s expected to feature a similar camera setup to its predecessors, with a triple-camera arrangement consisting of a 50 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 5 MP macro sensor. On the front, we’ll find a new 12 MP selfie sensor. Additionally, it will be powered by 8 GB of RAM and a 4,905 mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging.
While still unconfirmed, the Galaxy A36 is likely to feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 or Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. With 6 GB of RAM, the phone is expected to come with a 50 MP triple-camera setup and a 12 MP selfie camera.
Samsung has not officially announced the launch dates for the upcoming A-series models, but reports suggest they may be released around mid-March.
