After the release of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra, Xiaomi and Oppo are also preparing to unveil their flagship devices. However, recent leaks show that vivo will join the race with its powerful models as well. Here’s the possible release date and exciting camera features of the vivo X200 Ultra and X200S…
vivo X200 Ultra and X200S Coming in April
According to a source known for reliable leaks in the industry, “Experience More,” the vivo X200 Ultra and X200S models are expected to be released in China in April. This means that the brand will unveil its new devices exactly six months after the launch of the X200 and X200 Pro models last October.

Earlier rumors suggested that the X200 Ultra would have a 1-inch main camera sensor like its predecessor. However, the latest information reveals that the device will feature a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor and offer 1.5x optical zoom equivalent to 35mm by default. This move could be seen as vivo’s attempt to make the 35mm camera trend, pioneered by brands like Nubia, more accessible to a wider audience.
According to current information, the vivo X200 Ultra will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This could be a significant difference compared to the Dimensity 9400 chipset used in the other models of the series, the X200 and X200 Pro. On the other hand, the X200S is expected to come with the Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset.
During the launch event in April, alongside these two models, a new purple color option for the vivo X200 Pro Mini is also expected to be introduced. It remains to be seen whether the company will focus more on camera technology or performance during this launch. We’ll find out soon!
