The countdown has begun for vivo’s new flagship, the X200 Ultra. The smartphone is set to launch on April 21. While we’ve already seen some live videos and technical details about the device, there were still some questions regarding the overall user experience. However, vivo’s latest announcement seems to clear up all the uncertainties.
What does the vivo X200 Ultra offer?
As previously rumored, the vivo X200 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. To ensure high-quality image and video processing, the company is also including its own VS1 and V3+ imaging chips.

The device will feature a 2K resolution Zeiss Master Color display. For added security, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner will be embedded in the screen. The display will also be protected by Armous Glass technology.
The smartphone will pack a 6,000mAh battery, supporting 90W wired and 40W wireless charging. While this marks a modest improvement over its predecessor’s 5,500mAh unit, the gains in capacity and charging speed aren’t dramatic.
The X200 Ultra is also said to support bypass charging, a feature that allows the device to draw power directly from the adapter without passing through the battery. This helps keep temperatures down during long gaming sessions and prevents performance throttling.
Like its predecessors, the vivo X200 Ultra will stand out with its camera capabilities. It will house dual 50 MP (1/1.28-inch) main and ultra-wide sensors, along with a 200 MP (1/1.4-inch) periscope telephoto lens. On the front, there will be a 32 MP selfie camera.
