OnePlus continues its efforts to expand its product lineup. As part of this strategy, the Chinese brand is preparing to make a significant addition to the Ace 5 series, which was introduced last year. Recent developments have revealed key details about the upcoming phone, expected to be named the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra (Extreme Edition).
What will the OnePlus Ace 5 Ultra offer?
OnePlus is set to unveil the new Ace 5 Ultra during an event in China on May 27. Recent reports have highlighted some of the phone’s camera features. The device will use Sony’s IMX906 sensor as its main camera, offering 50 megapixels of resolution and measuring 1/1.56 inches in size. The IMX906 operates with four-in-one pixel binning technology to produce effective pixels of 2.0μm.

This sensor first appeared in the Honor 100 Pro, and later found its way into devices like the Redmi K70 Ultra and the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro.
The Ace 5 Ultra will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset, built on a 3nm manufacturing process. It will also feature the Lingxi control chip, which offers a 3000Hz touch sampling rate, and the G1 Wi-Fi gaming chip, which focuses on reducing latency during online gaming sessions. The device is said to deliver more than five hours of gameplay at an average of 118.3 FPS, with only a 1% deviation in frame rates.
The phone will sport a flat 6.83-inch display with a resolution of 2800×1272 and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. It will be available in three colors: Phantom Black, Breeze Blue, and Titanium Blaze.
