HMD Global, the licensee of Nokia phones, is taking action for its own smartphones. A new leak has emerged for HMD-signed devices. The new claim, which will delight Nokia fans, reveals a device called HMD Skyline inspired by the Lumia series.
HMD Skyline and more on the way
Codenamed Skyline, the smartphone will feature a 6.67-inch 120Hz AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and HDR10+ support. It will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset and will be available in 8GB/12GB RAM and 256GB storage configurations.
According to the leak, Skyline will have a 4900mAh battery with 33W wired or 30W wireless charging. On the back, it will feature a 108 Megapixel main sensor as well as a 32 Megapixel selfie camera. The leak also reportedly has an IP67 rating and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Skyline will resemble Nokia Lumia phones in terms of design. With its angular design and colorful back panel, it will bring the Lumia series to the Android world. It was also claimed that it will come out of the box with Android 13 and will receive a three-year Android upgrade.
Pricing will start at 450 euros for the 8GB model and 499 euros for 12GB. In addition to Skyline, other HMD phones such as Waylay/Xenon, Ridge, Ridge Pro and Atlas are reportedly in the works.
Skyline aims to bring a Nokia/Windows Phone flavor to the Android world. However, it is not yet clear when HMD will officially announce the upcoming series.
