Critical parental controls update for Roblox
Roblox, which is very popular among children, has announced a comprehensive series of innovations to increase user security. This update, launched this week, aims to give parents more control over their children’s activities on Roblox.
Security move for children from Roblox
One of the most notable changes made with the update is the simplification of the setup and management of parental controls. Parents will now be able to monitor Roblox and adjust settings from their own devices without having to access their children’s devices.
Another important innovation is content labelling and access restrictions for young users. Roblox will start using content labels such as ‘Light’ and ‘Minimal’ instead of maturity ratings. Children under 9 years old will only be able to access content with low-level labels.

Roblox, which was closed on the grounds that it contains content that may cause child abuse, has recently made important changes.
In addition, users under the age of 13 will not be able to directly message other players outside the game without parental permission. In a statement from Roblox, ‘Significant enhancements such as parental control, the way users under 13 communicate, new content tags, and built-in protections for young users are part of our commitment to providing a safe environment for our community.’
In addition to these restrictions, parents will be notified when children want to access content with a higher maturity rating. Parents will also be able to set daily usage time limits, and the game will automatically lock when that time is up.
