The massive 2.0 update for Cyberpunk 2077 is on players’ radar. DLSS 3.5 was announced for Cyberpunk 2077 with the free pack that will be released on September 21. This means Cyberpunk 2077 will be the first game to utilize Nvidia’s new machine learning-based technology.
Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update will be available with DLSS 3.5
Last week, CD Projekt Red announced the release dates for Cyberpunk 2077’s free 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty pack. The 2.0 update will be available on September 21st on all platforms. The big free bundle will bring extensive changes and graphical improvements to the game.
Key changes include a redesigned skill tree, an overhauled cyberware system, improved AI, a revamped police system and interface changes. On the other hand, players will have more options in vehicle battles.
Nvidia unveiled its new technology in late August. DLSS 3.5 focuses on Ray Reconstruction modeling. This technology offers a noticeably improved visual experience compared to traditional image correction techniques.
Nvidia claims that Ray Reconstruction is trained with five times more data than DLSS 3. In addition to incorporating additional game and software engine data, the new technology has made significant progress in recognizing various effects, distinguishing between pixels of different quality and preserving high-frequency data.
Additionally, the Phantom Liberty pack starring Idris Elba will be released September 26th exclusively on PC and next-gen consoles. Players will take on a new story and missions in a new area of Night City called Dogtown.
