Dacia is preparing an electric version of its popular SUV model Duster. The fully electric Duster will be built on the CMF-BEV platform developed in partnership with Renault and Nissan. This platform allows for front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive versions. Thus, Duster’s adventurous identity will be preserved in the electric version.
Dacia Duster will come out with an electric version
Dacia CEO Denis Le Vot confirmed the electric Duster will come but did not give a clear release date. Details about the new model are expected to be shared at a special event to be held in November 2025. There will be no major changes in the design. Since the third-generation Duster, which was introduced at the end of 2023, still has a modern look, no radical design changes are planned.

The electric Duster will continue Dacia’s affordable pricing policy in terms of price. With this model, Duster will compete with compact electric SUVs such as the Renault 4 E-Tech, Fiat Grande Panda 4×4, Jeep Avenger, Suzuki e-Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser EV.
Dacia continues to expand its electric vehicle range. A fully electric version of the Sandero will be introduced in 2027. In addition, a new city car priced under 18,000 euros is being developed for the European market and will replace the Spring model. Two new compact models in the Bigster segment will be available with gasoline and hybrid engine options by 2027.
The electric Duster and other new models stand out as important steps in Dacia’s transition to an electric future. The company aims to reduce production costs by standardizing the CMF-BEV platform in electric vehicles. In this way, it will be possible to produce both electric and internal combustion vehicles on the same production line.
