A live image of Samsung’s upcoming foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, has surfaced, officially confirming the large cover screen seen in earlier design renders. This new leak also reveals more details about the device’s potential specifications, particularly its processor.
Leaked Image Confirms Large Cover Screen for Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7
The leaked image shows the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s cover screen resembling the design concept previously seen in models like the Motorola Razr 60 Ultra. The key difference here is the device’s thinner bezels, which could be a significant distinguishing factor from its competitors.

The new model is expected to be thinner than its predecessor, with its thickness reportedly dropping from 14.9mm to 13.7mm. Furthermore, there appears to be an increase in battery capacity, with the new model rumored to feature a 4,300 mAh battery, up from the 4,000 mAh in the Z Flip 6.
Contrary to earlier rumors suggesting a split between the Exynos 2500 for Korea and Snapdragon 8 Elite for the rest of the world, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, set to be unveiled on July 9, will reportedly feature Samsung’s next-generation 3nm Exynos processor in all markets.
The Exynos 2500 is a significant chip, being Samsung’s first processor produced with its advanced 3nm Gate-All-Around (GAA) technology. This architecture aims to improve power efficiency and thermal control. The processor boasts a 10-core structure: a single Cortex-X5 (X925) core clocked at 3.3GHz, two Cortex-A725 cores at 2.74GHz, five more A725 cores at 2.36GHz, and two power-efficient Cortex-A520 cores at 1.8GHz.
For graphics, the Exynos 2500 incorporates the Xclipse 950 GPU, built on AMD’s RDNA 3.5 architecture. This GPU offers ray tracing support and 8K video support at 30fps. On the artificial intelligence front, it features an NPU with a power of 59 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second).
What are your thoughts on the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s rumored specifications, especially the move to an all-Exynos lineup?
