Death Stranding 2 has been opened to early access
With the game meeting with gamers in the first hours, critic comments and evaluation scores have also emerged. Death Stranding 2 has shown a clear improvement compared to the first game by receiving 90 points on Metacritic.

The first game was evaluated with 82 points in 2019. With this score difference, it is seen that the sequel distinguishes itself positively not only from its predecessor but also from many productions released in 2025. The game stands out especially with its narrative depth, emotional tone and visual presentation.
Critics state that the dramatic structure of the story has been strengthened and the visuals are strikingly impressive. Another striking element was the fighting mechanics, which have been seriously improved compared to the first game. Death Stranding 2’s expanding world and production quality were also among the points highlighted by critics.
Despite this, it is noted that the basic structure of the game has not deviated too much from the first game. It is commented that the gameplay is still largely shaped around the theme of delivery and journey, so those who did not like the first game should not expect a completely different experience.
However, the general opinion is that Death Stranding 2 is a more mature, more comprehensive and much more successful sequel built on the first game. This positive picture that the game showed during the early access process has raised expectations before the full release on June 26.
